Prior to joining Ossuary, Aim was in Paranorm: an industrial influenced, aggro metal band.
Aim spent his formative guitar-playing years jamming along to Metallica's 'Master Of Puppets' and '...And Justice For All' cassettes in his room.
"I was trying to perfect that downstroke thing down. That was all I did , pretty much.Day in, day out. No bands, no nothing."
But he eventually started a band in 1992.
"My first band was called Shining Path. Before that I was just jamming with some friends in school in covers bands. With Shining Path, we did a lot of Metallica and some Slayer covers. Over the years , we kind of found a style that suited us and it developed into Paranorm."
Paranorm released a demo in the early part of 97, but the guitarist's commitment with the band neared it's end shortly after the release.
"Even during the recording of the demo, I was already in Ossuary. Though it was difficult, I had to make a choice; I decided to be in Ossuary fully."
Aim first saw Ossuary in action in their first ever gig in 1992."  It was in the World Trade amphitheatre on a Friday or Saturday evening or something and it was a great place to chill out and see some bands cause they had gigs there like every weekend. I came down to the gig naturally hoping to see some metal bands but when I saw them (Ossuary), I thought these guys were your average Deep Purple, Led Zep tribute act or something. I mean, they certainly looked the part! I was ready to hear some dreadful cock rock covers, but then they went ahead and did soundcheck and I was blown out of my skirt! What strucked me was their tightness and also their material, which I had never come across in a local band before."
