The Dan Beard shelter is used for nothing else but the Dan Beard program. Here they cover selected Second Class and First Class requirements. The tents are for camping demonstrations. You can also see cooking and lashing demonstrations as well. There is no longer a permanent shelter. I understand it was torn down in 2000 and will be rebuilt soon. The brown wall tent in the right photo is set up on the concrete floor of the original shelter. |
