| What is Health Ministry? The Health portion of the Care and Health ministry is composed of a group of OSLC health care providers who volunteer to share their knowledge and expertise with members of the congregation. |
| The health care ministry is designed to identify and address the health needs of the congregation through education, health counseling, and advocacy. Through the integration of health and faith, this ministry focuses on each individuals physical, emotional, spiritual and social well-being. Weekly blood pressure screenings and monthly blood sugar & blood cholesterol screenings are offered on Sunday after all three services. Exercise and Yoga classes are held throughout the year. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training sessions are offered periodically during the year. The courses are led by American Heart Association instructors. Any OSLC member may take the course and receive a certificate of completion. The American Red Cross works with OSLC Health Ministry to offer members an opportunity to donate blood in a convenient setting. |
