Objective: To join the mission team headed by Chad and
Jennifer Huddleston in Osaka, Japan, beginning in January 2002, for
two years, in order to draw Japanese people closer to Jesus through
sharing the Bible and my life.
Why I Feel Called
The Short Answer:
God is working in Osaka. I
want to be there.
The Long Answer: It’s
not like I have been strategically planning for such an opportunity,
but after many months of prayer and thought it is clear to me that God
has been planning and working in my life to prepare me for this
opportunity like only He can. I believe that God is working through Tim, Leah, Cass, and
Bethany, and after visiting the Huddlestons and Merschs in Osaka, I
believe God is blessing their work. I do not feel that Osaka is the
only place God is working, nor that Osaka is the only place where God
can or will use me. I do,
however, believe that God is working in the lives of those in Osaka in
an especially unique way. I also feel that when looking at my life and
trying to do what is best with my limited time here on Earth, that
there is nothing I would rather spend my time on.
