Matt pulled his car over just in front of Jeff's house. He and Amy got out from the car and walked towards the house; it was dark and quite. Matt reached for the knob; it was locked. So he rang the bell. No answer. "Matt! Jeff's bike not in the garage." Amy called out to her boyfriend while peering through the garage window. "Beth said he was on his way to her place..." Matt hurried back to his car. he was worried, something must have happened . Jeff would have called Beth by now no matter how laid back he is! "Don't worry Matt, maybe .. maybe his bike broke down or something.." Amy tried to make him feel better. " I don't know Amy, let's hope he is okay.." ~~ Ring! ~~ Ring ~~! "Hello?" Amy put her phone to her ear.. hoping it was Jeff at the other end. "Hey girl!" It was Jason. "Care to join us for a drink?" "Huh? Look Jason, Jeff gone missing...Has he call you by any chance?" Amy's heart sank when her friend reply a NO. "Don't worry Amy, he's properly reached Beth's place by now.." Amy told Jason that they were on their way to Beth's and they will meet them there. She put down her phone and looked at Matt. "Jeff will be fine." She said. |
