Chapter 6 |
Jeff didn't know how long he had been lying on the rough hard road but his body was aching all over, especially his head and ribs. He reached up and felt something sticky tickling down his face, his hand was now covered with blood. The helmet strap must have snapped and flew off during the crash. "Buddy, you alright?" he heard a muffled voice belonging to a man. Jeff opened his eyes weakly to see the owner of the voice. A blurry vision of a man looking down at him. The Hardy tried to speak, immediately rolls of cough came out, he felt terrible! "Easy pal, Don't worry, we'll get you outta here." the man turned and yelled to his friend. "Hey Jason, the guy's still alive!" Jeff tilted his head a little to his left , and was just in time to catch a glimpse of a man getting out of the car. "His is alive? Goodness!" He heard him said. "He hurt bad?" The man came up and peered down at Jeff. Through Jeff messy vision, these men looked extremely familiar. "Pretty bad" was the man's brief reply. "Let's get him to our car." "Edge, you think this is ok? He is a complete stranger." "EDGE??!!!" Jeff's vision eventually began to cleared. "Don't know, but we can't just leave him here to die." answered Edge as he slowly lifted Jeff's head and shoulder off the ground. Jeff let out a cried as jolt of pain rushed through his injured body. 'Hey careful bro! Here.... help....ready?" Jason's voice suddenly gone muffled again. "what are they talking about? Don't they recognize me? Oh my god...., the crash must have disfigured me!" Streams of questions ran through the Hardy's semi conscious mind. Jeff felt himself being lifted off the road. He reopened his eyes, Adam and Jason were carrying him towards their vehicle. The car looked kinda peculiar as it had no tyres!!! "Don't worry buddy, we'll take care of you." Jason assured Jeff as they laid him down gently on the back seat. Jeff looked out of the vehicle one last time before Edge closed the door. The road was dry. "Where is my bike...?" he wondered. |
