Operation Rising Tide (ORT)
A group of Sea Scout Schools including leadership, advancement, socialization, specialty skills, and other knowledge & skill bases associated with Sea Scouting and Venture Programs. This knowledge & skills base is demonstrated in competitions, contests and challenges that show the application of the knowledge and skills in real and simulated experiences.
The ORT Activity has been presented in different Task Force Areas with differing emphasis but all have worked to improve leadership and have a good time doing it. The friendships and relationships between Ships, Crews, Sea Scouts, and Scouters have lasted for years and may last for a lifetime.
The ORT Activity has been a Central Region activity since 1998. When we play the game we play to learn and raise all ships to a higher level of Sea Scout knowledge & skills. When we play the game we have fun. We play the game for all to have fun and win the game of life. We play the game for all to learn and enjoy the Sea Scout Program.
The advancement activities & challenges range thorough all of the Sea Scout & Venture activities, which are requested and supported by advanced registration.

BS&S (Boating Safety & Seamanship), Drill individual & crew challenge, Seamanship, Marlinspike, Navigation Rules, Sailing (basic & challenge), Leadership Petty Officers School, Sea Scout Officers Specialized Training, etc.

Seamanship, Small Boat Handling, Fire and Safety challenge
