"Our precious D.J." died while searching for his birth sister.
Angel, as her birth family called her, was born 8-16-80, University Hospital, Oklahoma City, OK.
He wanted her to know that he had Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia. He knew if she tried to locate us for the purpose of obtaining family medical history that it would be next to impossible because of closed adoption records.
She was checked for it at birth but unfortunately it sometimes shows up later in life. D.J. wanted to tell her to guard her own health very carefully. He wanted her to know that he hoped to meet her someday, somewhere....

The name Angel was never on any of the papers, that is the name that her birth mom wanted her to have.

Angel, if you see this please contact me. I love you and have always carried you in my heart. Birth mom, D. Wheat.

Ramona we have learned that you carried 2 tiny photos in your wallet, pictures of your lost babies, and dreamed of the day when you would be with them again.
When we found your family they told us your dream ended when you died in an automobile accident, August 25, 1977. They told us Bradley was one and I was three when you and dad decided you couldnt take care of us properly and gave us up for adoption.
Your brothers welcomed us with happy hugs, but also with tears of sorrow and pain that we had lost the chance of ever seeing you, our realmother again. At least on this earth.
To know that they had searched for us for 15 years made us feel better, for like many adoptees we had often wondered if any of our birth family ever thought of us, wondered about us or cared about us.
Whatever memories we may have of you have settled far back in our sub-conscious minds, but know that we love you as much as if we had never been apart.
We love you, Mother.
Annette, 10-5-65, now known as Camille & Billy, 6-17-67, now known as Bradley.

John Colon McAllister
Died 1994, New Brunswick, Canada

Daddy, our search for you ended at the Red Bank Cemetery. We are so sorry we missed you; and our grandparents, Hubert and Octavia (Matchett) McAllister. But you must have known that with the closed adoption records system that we hardly had a chance of finding you. We found our mother, Evelyn, but have not found Tommy George who was born around October 23, 1974 and adopted 1980.
You would be sad to know that Tommy was not adopted with his five siblings. An English speaking, New Brunswick couple adopted him. At that time Tommy was wearing corrective boots and glasses. We hope he is now walking strong and tall. He was only two when I last saw him, at the welfare office in St. Stephen. I loved him so much! I will never stop looking for him!

We loved you very much when we were with you, Daddy, and we love you as much now.

To my darling daughter, Suzanne Marie Kirsch:

You were born with only a small portion of your brain which caused profound mental retardation and numerous physical problems, but I did not know this until I searched and found that you were deceased. You were never adopted. If I had known that, perhaps I would have been permitted to see you. You were a fighter, like me I guess. You were not expected to live 6 months, but lived 17 years, then died of heart problems and pneumonia. Did you ever wonder why I never came? I would have, oh I would have! If I had only known!

You are whole and happy now and in a much better place. I know I will see you again.

Your loving Mother, who never knew what you were going through.
