Release of New Book: Christ Mind, Buddha Heart

The first copies of Christ Mind, Buddha Heart have arrived. This book was written in preparation for an upcoming conference in Los Angeles on Christianity and Buddhism. This is an international conference for people of both faiths to come together to talk about common issues and identify ways to respect and honor each other.

Lorna Kelly edited the book and is the author of The Camel Knows the Way, a biography of her 20 years friendship with Mother Teresa, and was the first woman auctioneer of Suthobys. She presently is an editor in New York. She read the manuscript and said this explains how a Christian can also incorporate Buddhism into their life and not violate basic Christian belief. Release the Hero Within is averaging about 11 books a day at www.lulu.com/barhanna Books Relating to the Language of Jesus

Field report from Good Samaritan Orphanage, Dominican Republic

Scientists Arrive from National Institute

Three scientists, headed by Kelvin Guerro from the field offices of Harvard University at the National Botanical Gardin, came to the orphanage to see what the orphans have collected.

It turns out that our giant beetle is not a new species but a beetle long thought to be extinct. It is not been seen since 1920. An article in 1932 declared it extinct. Kelvin Guerro was thrilled as he announced this discovery. He said that his advisor told him to keep looking for this insect. All his life he has been searching for it. It is the discovery of a lifetime he said. He will present the discovery at an international conference this fall

The boys learned to properly prepare and pin specimens. Stundents from Xavier University helped the children. The boys were taught by Danilee Rodriquiz an expert curator of insects at the Natinal Botanical Gardin. She was very patient with the boys and they worked for hours with her.

The insect project at the orphanage is being done in cooperation with Harvard University and the National Botanical Gardin of Santa Domingo. It is an effort to help children participate in world class science and to develop the first scientific database on insects in the DR

Green Mountain Ski School of Vermont

A dozen High School students were here for a week from a national ski school in Vermont where Olympic skiers are trained. They were wonderful playing with the children.
