Do you ever worry that you and your child may be in danger in certain situations? Have you ever walked into a dark parking lot, hand in hand with your little one/ ones, and wondered what to do should an attacker appear?

Separate classes and seminars for women and children are available at our school as part of our primary programs, as well as a class for entire families to learn to work together. However, we also offer a special self defense seminar for mothers and their children (ages 14 and under) to learn how to properly work together in situations such as this. We will first work in separate groups, teaching children the dangers presented by 'bad guys' and how to help identify and handle such people. Women will begin learning the basic striking, grappling, and ground techniques to defend themselves. We will then combine the groups to begin teaching families how to work as a 'team', allowing the primary goal of escape for the child to come first and, eventually, the mother as well. The training wraps up with a Redman scenario, much as the Women's Self Defense course. The entire seminar is meant to be informative, safe, and practical; as well as realistic for the adults and accessible and non-intimidating for the children.

These seminars are scheduled throughout the year; however, we are also willing to offer them on request for interested groups as a part of our Community Self Defense Awareness Program. Please contact us for details.
