The Women's Self Defense Courses are broken up into two different seminars- Women's Self Defense 1- Held on a Saturday or Friday (times varying, please check the events page for times on the next upcoming seminar), this seminar runs approximately 2 hours and is the more intensive and introductory of the classes. Participants who are continuing from a month prior review and reinforce previous knowledge while also learning an expanded base of skills. This seminar ends with a Redman Scenario for all able women. Women's Self Defense 2- Held on a Wednesday night following the first seminar (either in the following week or the next following week, please check the events page for specific date), this seminar is a chance for women to refresh the knowledge from the first seminar. This seminar will only last for one hour, and does not conclude with a Redman scenario. This 'follow-up' seminar is highly recommended since the muscle memory of self defense techniques can fade after two weeks time without consistent, physical repetition. However, women do not need to have come to the first Women's Self Defense seminar in order to attend and learn. In general, we suggest women attend both seminars for 2-3 months in order to maximize results. However, this is not a requirement by any means; women are free to attend either seminar at their discretion. This program is also available to private groups on request as a part of our Community Self Defense Awareness Program. Please contact us for details. So if you are a woman and you are looking for a realistic source of self defense training, check our events for the next available seminar and contact us today to reserve your spot! (407) 767-5500 |
