The Girl in White
Behind the ruins of a broken fortress lies a cowering child,
Half hidden by the shadows, and half hidden by fear.
His eyes are closed as the tears roll down his cheeks one by one,
Silently dropping to the broken floor below his feet.
He is helpless; his mother and father have gone away forever.
The crisp, silent air gnaws at his naked body.
Ice forms on his chin, where his tears once dropped towards their fate.
His cold blue eyes mirror the harshness around him.
He is lost in an uncaring world, full of maniacs and demons.
But there is now a light around him, a warmth.
An approaching girl in white shelters him from doom.
She shows him kindness and compassion and love,
And shows him that the world is not as evil as it seems,
But rather, the good is hiding where it is least expected.

Fragile (Verse Against Subjectivism)
Oh, how fragile we are in this world we have created!
How much must we suffer until we are forced to believe?
How much must be lost until we grab something concrete,
Something solid to hold onto in this world of chaos?
We are merely mortals, not gods, lacking intelligence.
Ignorance and misunderstading is our king.
Cry! We should cry for ourselves, for what we have become!
For the pain is unbearable for those who do not conform.
How delicate our minds are, for the slightest disturbance
Knocks us from our pedastal, deforming our self-image.
How intricate the detail, how fine the craftsmanship,
That it is so easily corrupted and destroyed.
Yearn, want for the better life, for comrehension!
Swallow reality, accept life, deliver happiness to yourself!
We have but one single chance at life, just one,
And we cannot fail, unless in our own eyes.

So Far Away
Every night, in the light of the stars, shining bright,
I see your eyes, blazing with the purest white.
The goodness amazing, I stare at them, gazing,
Wondering if maybe someday my dreams will come true.
High in the sky, Im dreaming of why, of how a guy like me
Might fly away to you someday, to hold you as my own.
I feel you close, so near to me,
And yet, you are so far away...

The Life of a Child
The life of a child,
Unknowing, loving living and harvesting happiness,
The child speaks with wisdom,
And with inferiority to elders.
Shaking with anticipation and fear,
The child learns.
Performing with skill and simplicity,
The child grows.
Knowing nothing of the wonders of conformity and ettiquette,
The child stumbles and falls,
Plummeting face-first from his world to the dusty ground,
Hard to the touch, and painful.
But the child is impervious,
Bouncing back to suffer the trials of life,
The glories of beliefs,
The justice of evil, again.
Never braking, the child continues,
Breaking foolish beliefs and foolish things,
Gaining wisdom through error.
And the child goes on,
Growing, learning,
Striving to be what he wants to be:
An adult.
