Time For a Change
I don’t know where to start.
There is too much to say,
But someone must take some action
Not tomorrow, but today.
Every morning when I wake up
I face a brand new day.
I think everything is different,
But it’s all still the same.
Everyone is angry.
Everyone is prejudiced.
They’ve never heard of kindness.
They don’t know what it is.
They go around every day
Doing their selfish deeds,
Never caring what others may feel,
Never accounting for others’ needs.
Everything is still the same.
Everyone’s rude and no one cares.
I wonder if anything will ever change.
No matter how hard I try, I’ll get nowhere.
Everytime I go to lunch
I see people around me having fun,
Never knowing not to be rude.
Never caring to smile at someone.
They are afraid to help a stranger.
They have no sense of morals.
All they want is to enjoy themselves,
And live for the moment overall.
I see no changes in the near future;
For no one cares to change.
They are all blind to the evil inside,
And they will always remain this way.
I call on us as human beings
To do what we know to be right,
To make some changes to benefit all,
To make some changes in our lives.
For we get only one shot at life,
And why must we stay this way?
I say, let us make things better.
It’s now time for a change.
