I am pleased to introduce our program of
activities to you. At the sixth year of its existence
ORES has learnt enormously on the job. We are
tirelessly looking at a wider context, ways in
which children must develop and education for
all (EFA) can be attained. We have
not only reinforced our activities in the difficult
rural areas but we are including the prisons in
our Operation one Prison One Library project.
There is no other place as in the prisons where
idleness prevail. We believe that if time could
be put to learning inmates may be better equiped
to face the society on regaining freedom. The
success of this project will be acertained when
illiterate prisoners leave the prison literate
and when some of them publish while in prison.
More and more people
are benefiting from ORES services. Some have come
up to give us their encouragements. We will continue
to need these encouragements and support. We promise
to do much more, touching the lives of as many
persons as possible in the future.
