What a busy day! We got up early to go get the rent-a-car, and then drove to the northernmost city in Ibaraki to make soba, Japanese buckwheat noodles. Lots of fun there. I will be making a page about that sometime in the near future. They were a bit difficult to make, but delicious. As usual, Kylie either slept or looked quietly around as we made the noodles, which we ate there, and were delicious!
Then, we went down the road a while to the glass blowing studio. That was so neat! Grandpa and Grandma made their own glass tumblers, I am sure they will be overjoyed to show them to anyone who asks, and Kylie charmed all the employees of the glass studio. More people came over to see her than to see the glass sculptures in the gallery attached!!! And she just smiled and cooed at them. What a baby!
After, we went to an onsen, or a Japanese hot spring bath, and relaxed. We ended the evening with sushi at the local conveyor belt sushi shop. Delish!
At home, Kylie drank an enormous ammount of milk, and promptly.... fell asleep. Surprise! |
