1/6/2003 After taking a good two weeks off of work, I headed back to Hillbourne this morning. But I made a few detours first. I went to the branch office of city hall near our house and registered Kylie. Now she is officially part of our family, and qualifies for insurance. Whew! That is a load off my mind! Also, the city of Hitachi gave us 300,000 yen for having a baby! So the total bill for having the baby comes to around... I dunno, a couple hundred dollars. If Mayuho would have gone for a triple room at the hospital, we would have broken even! Hahaha.... On another note, as I mentioned above, Mayuho's friend Seiko came to visit. Can you believe Daichi, or Dai-chan for short, is 9 months old? He and Kylie could be classmates! Also, Daichi means "Great Land" and Kylie means "Ocean Home." What a pair! So cute together. But don't get any ideas yet Daichi! She is still my little girl! But anyway, I got home to a tired Mayuho, and a sleepy baby. So I gave Kylie her bath, tucked Mayuho in, and now I am writing this for Kylie's future. Then I have to wash out the bottles, do the dishes, fold the laundry, ... |
