This morning at about 5:30, after handing my beautiful daughter over to Mayuho for her morning meal, I had the chance to change her diaper! Hooray!? Well, having learned her two little tricks, I fooled her. I opened her diaper, recoiled in shock, and waited... after 10 seconds or so, I made like I was going to pull out the old diaper, so she got ready to play, and I managed to catch her reserve in the old diaper! Hooray! Two points for Daddy! Then I continued and cleaned her up all nice and we went back to sleep for a couple of hours.
Yesterday and today Kylie has been absolutely ravenous in the morning. Just drinking non-stop and always wanting more. But my Mayo Clinic Big Book O' Babies says it is normal.
Also, I took a walk in the morning down to the Shinto Shrine at the end of the street, by Mr. Donuts. They were drumming in the New Year with some children's Taiko drum recitals. It was pretty neat. Here are some pictures of the shrine and the kids. |
