The powers of the Guildleader are needed to effeciently run the government of Order of the Black Lion. There will be specific powers that the Guildleader may exercise, but NOT abuse, or use for their own personal gain. Order of the Black Lion is a semi-democratic government where there will be a system of checks and balances. If you feel the Guildleader is abusing his power, then it is your right and duty to bring it to the attention of a member of The Senate.
Powers of the Guildleader:
1: The Guildleader of the Order of the Black Lion will reserve the power to handpick the first two members of
The War Council. After the first two have been chosen, all affairs of The War Council will then be voted upon.
2: The Guildleader of the Order of the Black Lion will reserve the right to recruit new members of the Order of the Black Lion.
3: The Guildleader of the Order of the Black Lion will reserve the power to remove any member of the nation (including sub-guilds) if that member has commited treason.
4: The Guildleader of the Order of the Black Lion will reserve the right to send diplomats and scouts on missions.
5: The Guildleader of the Order of the Black Lion will reserve the right to suggest that two or more members having an argument, take it up personaly instead of involving the guild. (This obviously does not include members that are in political offices within the guild, but those members must not use the guild chat for their disputes).
6: The Guildleader of Order of the Black Lion will reserve the right to engage in affairs with other guilds/alliances/empires and groups of players. This includes the entering into contracts, meetings, alliances, and informal negociations.
7: The Guildleader of Order of the Black Lion will reserve the right to bring a vote against any specific
Senate member/s that he/she believes is abusing their power. This vote will be held by the entire guild, excluding The Senate, The War Council, and the Guildleader.
NOTE- If you have been found guilty of treason, and you think you were wrongly accused, you may ask a member of The Senate to have a meeting on whether or not you may be dropped of the charge.
NOTE- After release of Shadowbane, additions to the powers of the Guildleader may only be added if The Senate approves by a 3/4 vote.
NOTE- Alliances can be brought to the attention of The Senate for a vote. If vetoed by The Senate, the Guildleader may not proceed into the alliance.
