Rest at home all day, I feel fine, still excited about the new place Have no problem on the time differences.
Day3:
Another friend came over (Eak), we were heading to Jatujak Shopping Center(JJ). Before JJ were went to eat Kao-Chae (rice in water) with side dishes, it is Thai traditional dish, this place was made famous by one of the magazine, supposed to be one of the best. So, I was there and I can live without this traditional dish :).
After lunch we headed to JJ, I always go here first when I go to BKK, it has everything in there and very reasonable price. There are so many fake stuff here, you name it and they have it... Abercrombie, LaCross, AE, Polo, etc.
We were almost done with shopping, my friend stopped by to get some Abercrombie stuff, next thing we know her IPAQ Phone is gone, got picked pocket, that was it, shopping is done. She went to report the incident to the police, it turned out she was #32 that day on the list to be pick pocketed. The police said the thieves are of the Khmer gang.
Day 1:
It was a long flight to BKK. Took Delta Airline and Stopped over at Narita (Japan). Ate Udon noodle that normally costs me $.50 a package and it costs about $7 a bowl. Delta Airline is very similar to TED, except Economy class of Delta provides individual TV, it is very helpful on an international flight. I watched a couple of movies; the seats were all booked so no extra room. Then from Narita, for the first time I took Thai AirWay, it was a pleasant flight because only a handful of people flew that day, I got all three seats to myself.
Arriving on Terminal 1 on BKK International Airport, checking in with Thai Immegration, there's an instruction to stands on the drawing feet on the floor and looked at the digital camera. That's exactly what I did, I can hear the woman worker speaking to someone on her phone... I hear whisper "khon Lao" and she said it a couple of times, I look at her, she even look more Lao than I am :). Walking out of the gateway, no friend to be found (Aor), ex-change my 20bt for coins and make some calls, turns out a friend got stuck on an express way, shortly after she arrived to pick me up.
I was soaking wet after about 10 minutes outside.
