Women in Tunisia
Tunisia, perhaps more than any other Arab country, has striven to ensure that women have equal access to education, jobs, legal rights, etc. Many government and university positions are held by women. Women cannot be forced to veil or marry, for example.
Yet even with these advances, women typically have less exposure to the outside world. In rural areas, women's literacy still lags that of men. So even if these women were to be given a tract or New Testament written in Arabic, many would not be able to read it.
