Blinker/driving light upgrade

I am going for the Euro style here.  I changed the blinkers to the side markers in the front and put driving lights in the blinker housing. 

 I bought universal two element light sockets at O'Rielly for $2.50/ea.  They originally were meant to be held in by a spring action, but I ended up drilling three holes and mounting them solid.  Also had to grind off one side a little where it ran into the housing.  I took the wires from the stock blinkers and ran them up through the drain hole in the bottom of the headlight bucket.  I secured it so it would not rub anything.  I put spades on the end of the new socket wires so it just plugs right into the original wires. I did not use the ground (brown) wire since the housing is grounded through the three screws to the body. Taped up the old side marker light and tied it up out of the way.  As you can see the old rubber boot even fits over the whole thing.  A little WD40 helped it go on easier.

 I took the switch cluster from an earlier dash that has a driving light switch in it.  The '73 dash doesn't.  This way it looks absolutely stock.  I wired it with a relay ($3) from O'Rielly so the current doesn't run through the switch.  I mounted the relay on the same bolt as the headlight relay up under the dash.

  The driving lights are from Tractor Supply.  Wagner's.  $8 and change for them.  To fit them in the housing I had to grind a little bit off the pegs that are used to hold in the turn signal.  I then used a 1" piece of 4" PVC pipe and with a little grinding here and there and a couple set screws it holds the bulb in place.  I put a bead of silicon on the front to keep moisture out.
