If you are a member of an organization and are interested in helping out with the letter writing campaign or collection drive, the following information will be of assistance. |

Letter Writing Campaign
- Write Individual Letters: You can support the letter writing campaign by having everyone in your organization take 2-5 minutes to write a letter in support of our troops. Mini-legal size paper is ideal for this, but other sizes may also be used.
- Group Letter: You may also write a group letter and have everyone sign it, in addition to the other letters.
The letters do not have to be very long. If you are unsure of what to write click here to see samples.
Collection Drive
You can support the collection drive by either collecting items from your members or by hosting your own collection drive in the community.
What if we are interested in helping?
If your organization is interested in helping, take note of the next few bullets.
- Let Us Know: If you plan on helping out, let us know so that we can add your organization to our list of sponsors and also give you any assistance that you may need.
- Arrange Pick-Up: When your event is done, call or e-mail Larry Long, event coordinator, at [email protected] or 785-395-2331 ex.622 to arrange for the materials to be picked-up.
- Community Service Hours: You can count the time taken to write the letters or participation in the collection drive as community service. Make sure you keep track of your hours.
