[00c] BRIEF EXPLANATIONS

You may name your character whatever you wish, but for this Walk-through, I will call him Tir McDohl (which seems to be the name Konami came up with). If you use all capitals, Tir's name will remain the same in the second Suikoden game, as well. However, if you use lowercase letters, or the name you choose is shorter than six letters, his name will appear slightly odd, such as: Tir will become TcDohl. TIR will becoem TIRohl, but something like HIROSHI will become HIROSHI, still.

At one point you will have the option of naming your Castle headquarters. I will refer to it as Toran Castle through this Walk-through. I believe if you use all capitals, the castle name follows through to the second game, but this has not been confirmed.

When you are given choices, I denote them by colors. The dark grey one, which blends with the regular text, is the looping question, meaning if you choose this option, you will be asked again. After a certain amount of re-asking, however, the game will stop asking and you will presumably be left at a stand-still. You will need to go back to that person or object and answer the correct answer. The 'correct' answer will be in any color but grey and contain an * (asterisk) in front of the question. If more than one answer for the same question has the color and asterisk, then either choice will work to continue the story. If I have put an exclaimation point surrounded by asterisks *!* then you may want to consider answering with that option, as the other one will prevent you from getting the best bonuses. This is not required, but just my advice.

I have also marked places with a *!* SAVE, if you should (but don't have to) Save. This is due to a major battle, such as a Duel, Strategy Battle, or Boss Battle, coming up. Again, you are not required to follow this advice, but I put it in there to forewarn you just in case.

If you have trouble finding a place, or getting to a visible place (such as a chest), you may need to try from all angles... even by going into fog, off the path, or into what looks like sheer rock. All in all, if you work at it, you should be able to locate every chest in the game. (I am attempting to make a map for certain harder to reach areas, but it is not completed yet).
