How Strange
By WonkyDonkey

How strange this human frame of mine
This body I reside in,
I occupy this skin for now
this casing I will die in.
The form of my creator?
The outside they call me,
But Im within this stretch of skin
Im more than you can see.

Am I a mere reflection
of the things I want to be?
Am I a simple vessel
bearing immortality?
Robotic yet divine
I have been given human grace,
I have been handed life
and love and death,
thats too much to erase.

I look with unjudgmental eyes
I dont refuse to see.
Im constantly returning smiles
Though I may not agree.

Reserved in speech
Ill never preach
The things that I believe.
Though tongues can lie
Through teeth, they try to
Muddle and deceive.

The human form a gift so warm
Can turn both cruel and cold,
It's all within the one inside
To let the good unfold.
