Girls, aminin na ninyo, we all wore the famous "Kung Fu" shoes to school. During one of our college fairs, we invited the "All Star Celebrity Basketball Team" to give us an exhibition game. One celebrity was Ronnie Ricketts. Si Oochie naman when she spotted him, lapit agad siya kay Ronnie & they started talking. Nung matapos na silang mag-usap, Carina B was so excited. Sabi niya kay Oochie, "Ang lakas ng loob mo & you approached him just like that!" Sabi naman ni Oochie, "1st cousin ko si Ronnie, no!" Sabi tuloy ni Carina, "Naku, puwede bang ilakad mo ako sa pinsan mo & I'll ask him out for a date!" During our exhibit at Greenhills, Oochie's 4 yr old nephew visited Bebel & Pam's booth (Bathroom). Sabi niya sa mommy niya, "Mommy, dito na lang ako ji-jingle, may toilet pala!" Pag dating na ng recess, you'll know where to find Bebel, Pebbles & Melissa, they occupy the telephone booths calling up their boyfriends. Most unforgettable outfit was worn by Ellen D around one holiday season to school. She wore a red blouse, white pants, red & white boots (1 was red, the other pair was white) with matching red & white earrings (again, 1 was red, the other pair was white). Eh yung black evening dress niya dun sa opening ng exhibit natin? Braless seethrough yung back! Another crush of Jo M was the son of Mrs Reyes, naku ha, montik na niyang maging mother in law si Mrs Reyes! Okay, here's a reality game (like the ones you see on tv). One time we were at Esther's place in Batangas & she picked one of these sea urchins while we were by the beach & ate it raw! Here's an unusual link, Jessica's father was Oochie's dad's ninong in his nuptials. Also, Oochie's mom who's an English & Art professor at Feati University was a colleague of Mr Banaag. Another unusual link, Sr Esther's sister used to me married to Lisa's brother. Mayenni, the class clown, enjoyed immitating our teachers. She does a good impersonation of Mrs Arellano & Miss Lotho. Naku ha, co-teacher na pala niya ngayon. Whenever we use the darkroom, Sr Esther always reminded us, "Okay girls, walang matutulog dito sa darkroom." Special moment, special event, we were just Freshman & our munting drama sa entablado won 1st place! Hurray to the ensemble especially Carol Samson & Maricar's performance. One time Mrs Belleza gave us a surprise plate exam. She wanted to find out if we were doing our plates or someone else. Kabado si Carina B kasi daw, she uses her brother's equipments (architect kasi) & it looks too professional. Kaya during the exam, dala niyang lahat ang mga templates ng brother niya. This was a typical day after school for these trio. Norma, Yolly & Oochie took the same ride to Quiapo taking turns in paying for the jeepney ride. Kung minsan, mag-aaya pa si Norma sa Dunkin Donuts to have some merienda. One time fair natin & Norma was in charge of the juice sale, tayo naman eh panay ang tikim, but when Mr B started approaching our booth to buy some, itong si Norma binawe lahat ang mga juice natin at nilagay ulit sa jug. To get ahead, Sol, Cecile, Oochie & Norma took up summer classes at UST. Naalala pa ba ninyo when we went to Jeanne's place in Batangas? Sinundo niya tayo & we all had a deal to look especially "frilled up & pretty" just for the trip. Disco days sa Philippine Plaza, nag-overnight itong apat (Mary Ann, Jo, Norma & Oochie) courtesy of a free stay from Oochie's dad. Nung ginutom na sila sa gabi, panay order ni Jo ng room service, a pot of hot cocoa, iyun lang kasi ang pinaka-murang orderin. Ellen C's former helper at home had an unusual story about her visit to the doctor one day. Sabi niya, "Piningger po ako ng duktor!" An innocent question by (can't reveal her name). "Ibig sabihin ba ng O_ _ _ Sex eh nag-uusap kayo habang nag se-sex? Embarrassing moment for Oochie one time she was with Jo walking in Recto, nahulog yung paa niya sa imbornal so they went immediately to McDo's so she can wash up. Si Esther may boutique sa Ermita noon & every now & then, nagkikita sila ni Oochie kasi that's where she takes her ride home from work. Our practicum or internship during our 4th yr, Norma & Oochie were partners & they worked for an architect who handles all motels. So yung unang project nila was to design a suitable motel room complete with waterbed, ceiling & wall mirrors & the famous "Love Seat". Naubos na ang laway ni Ellen C sa kaka-kulit mag-collect ng funds since she was our dakilang treasurer. 1 2 marami pa kaming kuwento... 4 5 |
