I didn’t like the novel all that much. It was interesting in the beginning but then I thought the novel got repetitive because everyone was essentially doing the same things in different places. The novel became boring to me because of its repetition. I also couldn’t relate to the characters and was therefore less interested in what happened to them during the story.

I quite enjoyed reading On the Road by Jack Kerouac. The main plot of the novel is somewhat boring; it mainly outlines Sal Paradise’s journeys from East to West and then West to East multiple times with Dean and other friends. Although the storyline is not exciting, Sal’s road to self-discovery, his sense of adventure, and his maturation during his travels adds excitement to the novel. They resemble a roller coaster ride with many ups (the highs) and downs (the lows). Kerouac’s detailed descriptions of events, places, and people also bring life to the story. Overall, On the Road by Jack Kerouac is a decent book, and I enjoyed the fun experience of reading it.

I really liked this book. Although there were some parts that seemed to drag on with no point like the 150 word sentence on Dean being a parking lot attendant. Over all I thought the book was well written and interesting. And it definitely made me want to take a road trip and hitch hike.

I didn't really enjoy reading the book I thought it was rather boring with little actually action. The plot mainly focused on personal discovery and I do not find that all that interesting. I think the book was well written so it may be interesting to people who enjoy reading books that involve personal discovery but I thought that the focus of the book made it rather boring due to the lack of suspenseful or interesting physical plot.
