One of my Pekingese is named Abbott.  He is the boss of this house, and everyone who lives here or visits knows it! I had been looking at peke pics on the web, hoping to find a puppy. I was having a very hard time locating a breeder or rescued peke close to home. I thought I had found one, but it turned out the pup was in Alabama! (We live in Tennessee.) Being the geographical whizz I am, I thanked the lady and hung up, thinking it was just too far away. At the time I was searching for a pup, my parents-in-law were staying with us due to my mother-in-law breaking her ankle and my father-in-law being in very poor health. So I felt that would be just too much to ask to get this puppy when someone had to be here with them at all times. I was so upset because I had searched for so long. My poor husband informed me to call the lady back, get directions, and he would meet her there. Bless his heart! She agreed to meet him part of the way, and my poor husband came driving in late one night with the cutest little furball, and I soon figured out the furball had stolen his heart on the way home. Vic said the little stink had stretched out beside his cola bottle and would growl if he tried to get it to drink! Yep, Abbott had him hook, line, and sinker! It took about two seconds to steal my undying devotion, and everyone that visits can't help but laugh at Abbott's antics.

Abbott lounging on the couch with "Bubba". Bubba makes Abbott crazy when he talks.

Abbott loves his ball ! He likes to play fetch and keep away... just make it squeak, and the game is on....

Some of Abbott's pastimes are trying to keep up with me, and everyone else.  He also likes to play with his frog that croaks. Abbott absolutely loves to take a bath. All you have to do is ask if he wants a bath and he's will beat you to the tub! He likes to be blow dried....when I get ready for work and turn on the dryer.....he runs to me and jumps until I turn the air toward him. He then proceeds to have a "fit". I know of no other word to describe it.  Abbott loves to chew on ice and chase it across the kitchen floor. He thinks anyone who is laying in the floor is fair game, and they get pounced....usually on the head. His all time favorite thing to do is bring leaves in the house from the porch. He chases the vaccum and mop, pouncing them everytime they move. Vic says he's "helping". I don't think so.

Uhhhh....Do you think one of these are for me?
