| Banana Bread Combine in large bowl: 1 1/2 c sugar 2 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding Add together amd mix well: 3/4 c. oil 4 eggs, beaten 3 c. mashed bananas 1/2 c. nuts Mix both together and pour into bread pans. bake 1 hr. at 350-degrees. you'll get raves with this. |
| Chocolate Dream Cake CRUST mix and spread in greased 9x13 pan. bake 350-degrees for 20-minutes. Let cool. 1 c. flour 1 stick margarine 1 c. macadamia nuts, chopped 1ST LAYER mix and spread on cooled crust: 1 c. powdered sugar 1 8oz. cream cheese, softened 1 c. Cool Whip (save rest for 3rd layer) 2ND LAYER mix and spread on top of 1st layer: 1 sm pkg vanilla instant pudding 1 sm pkg chocolate instant pudding 3 c. cold milk 3RD LAYER spread on top of 2nd layer: remaining Cool Whip Sprinkle grated candy bar on top of Cool Whip layer. kids eat this up. a similar recipe is "trifle cake" |
| Orange Butter Cookies 1 c. margarine 1/2 c. sugar 1 3/4 tsp. grated orange peel 1 large egg 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar 3 T. orange juice 1. Beat butter and sugar until creamy and blended. Beat in 1 tsp. orange peel, egg and vanilla. Gradually mix flour into butter mixture; beat until blended. 2. On a lightly floured board, roll out dough to 1/8" thick. Cut out with floured cookie cutter and space slightly apart on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 350-degrees until pale gold with lightly browned edges...12-15 minutes. Mix powdered sugar and orange juice until smooth. Stir in remaining orange peel. Spread or brush glaze over cookies; let stand until icing is dry, about 10 minutes. if you love oranges, this is THE cookie for you |
