| To Die For Chocolates 1 8oz. pkg semi-sweet baking chocolate squares 1/4 cup butter 3/4 cup sugar 3 eggs 1 cup flour 2/3 cup heavy or whipping cream HEAT oven 350-degrees (325 for glass pan). Line 8" baking pan with foil and grease. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, cook 2 squares and butter on high for 1 minute or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is melted. Stir in 1/2 cup sugar. Stir in 1 egg until well-blended. Stir in flour. Spread in pan. Cook remaining chocolate squares and cream in microwave bowl on high until melted. Beat remaining 1/4 cup sugar and the remaining 2 eggs in a small bowl with eletric mixer on high speed until thick and yelow-colored. Beat in chocolate/cream mixture. Pour over batter in pan. Bake 35 - 40 minutes or until the top is set and edges pull away from sides of pan. Cool. Cut into squares. i put them in the refrigerator and eat them chilled. they're so rich and yummy. i've never tried doubling the recipe. |
| Rainbow Cake 2 baked 8" or 9" white cake layers, cooled 2 packages (3 oz.) JELL-O Gelatin any flavor 2 cups boiling water 1 container (8oz.) Cool Whip , thawed Place cake layers, top side up in 2 clean layer pans; prick each cake with utility fork at 1/2"- intervals. Dissolve each flavor gelatin separately in 1 cup boiling water and carefully spoon over each cake layer. Chill 3-4 hours. Dip cake in warm water for 10 seconds; turn out onto serving plate. Top with whipped topping; unmold second layer and place on top of frosted first cake layer. Frost entire cake top and sides with remaining whipped topping. Chill. Garnish as desired. do you remember this cake? i had forgotten all about it till i was rummaging through some old-old magazines and found this. i enjoy introducing this cake to another generation of kids. |
| Trifle Cake 1 box chocolate cake mix, bake as directed on box in 9x13 pan 2 boxes chocolate instant pudding 3 sups cold milk 2 tubs Cool Whip 3 Heath or Skor candy bars, crushed Cherries (optional) Cool and cut cake into 1" squares. Mix pudding with 3 cups milk. In a trifle bowl, layer cake, pudding, Cool Whip, candy pieces. Layer again cake, pudding, Cool Whip and candy. Top with cherries for a nice presentation. guaranteed to disappear! i make this for any potluck where there will be lots of kids. they love it. |
| Chocolate Mochi 2 cups Mochiko flour 2 cups sugar 1 T. baking soda 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/2 cup margarine 2 tsp. vanilla extract 2 (12oz) cans evaporated milk 2 eggs, beaten Mix mochiko, sugar and baking powder in bowl. Mix. Melt margarine and chocolate chips in microwave. Add milk, vanilla and greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350-degrees 45-55 minutes. Cool then cut. |
