Gameknot
Gameknot is an time based chess website which allows users from all over the world to compete against each other in chess games. The website uses specified time limits for each move in a game so people can make their moves when it suits them. Gameknot is where our team is based and we usually get through about 100+ team games a month.
To sign up to gameknot, simply follow this link.. here and follow the sign up procedures. You should receive an email confirming your details and then your good to go. Please, if you dont receive a confirmation email, then dont create another account. Gameknot are quite strict on multiple accounts for non paying members as they can be used for cheating etc, and if you create another account then they will know and you might end up playing no games at all. If you dont receive a confirmation email then email the webmaster on gameknot instead and it should get sorted out.
Once your in, you can have 6 consecutive games at a time but that rises with the more people you play. A non member of gameknot can have a maximum of 20 consecutive games on a time after he has played so many games. If thats not enough then you can become a member who can have more consecutive games and can also access even more parts of the website.
I would say all our members would probably accept a game should you want to challenge them and a list of our current and past members can be found on the members page on the left.
One last word of warning, please do not abuse gameknot, cheating is not accepted and anyone suspected of cheating within or outside the team will most probably be reported to gameknot and they will be suspended with no second chance. It doesnt only spoil the fun for the rest of the users on gameknot but there is no point to it. By all means, use computers and other devices to practice chess but do not use them on gameknot. A list of gameknot rules can be found on the website and a good read through the FAQ there cant do much harm. It will answer more or less any questions you have.
I am always up for a game against any challengers and have yet to turn down any game offered to me. If your logged into gameknot then by all means challenge me.. here
