| Jaydee is still registered in my maiden name, his papers were signed over but the new owner never transferred them. I know he has gone through 2 owners. When I last seen him in 1992 in Aurora, Colo. just off the Tower Road exit, he was in a little pen with a run in shed with a sign over his door that said "Mr. DJ's JD" He was in a large boarding facility that had sold out to a housing development. Subsequently he was moved to this little pen near the original boarding stables. I remember a Safeway store being in the neighborhood. It's most likely all gone now. He was first sold to a woman of color, a grandmother of 2 girls, named Dorthea, I think. I just want to re-unite Jaydee with his heritage. I will get duplicate papers and sign them over. I will make an offer to buy him back, but I will not push the issue, because he was such a sweet boy, he most likely will have owners that are attached to him as well. Jaydee has a star, strip and snip. The star is quite large but the strip is very narrow and is divided into 2 sections and the snip is a backwards "S" shape and are all disconnected from each other. Jaydee was a dysmature foal and was under a vet's care for the first week in his life. He has a white dot on his neck that never went away, from the IV needle. He also has a bullseye type scar on his right elbow from an injury sustained when he was a weanling, it is most likely faded now. He has one white hind sock on his left side. Jaydee was a dark liver chestnut when he shed his foal coat but he lightened up his yearling year, his body was always darker than his mane and tail. Jaydee was only 14.1 hands tall. He is freeze branded under his mane on the right side. He is trained to ride. I remember the first time I sat on his back, he looked around at me as if to say, "Well it's about time!! Now, Let's go somewhere!" Never had a lick of trouble from him. |
