| THE FOALS |
| Christmas comes twice a year around here!! We look forward to foaling just to see what awaits us after 12 months or better of planning. We breed for only one foal a year, so the foal gets undivided attention and gets handled on a daily basis, and in a family environment, with kids running around jumping and yelling. This is the most important time to build the foundation from which a good riding horse is built on. We are firm believers in making our horses adapt to the environment, NOT adapting the environment to them. All the while they are raised in a natural herd environment on pasture to develop a healthy hindgut and metabolism. On these rocky hills and ravines, they develop strong muscles and bones, hard as nails hooves, and sure-footedness for their future well being. Our colts are gelded not because they are inferior, but to keep their attitudes superior. A good stallion makes a great gelding and an even better riding horse!! Our goal is to produce great geldings. |
