One Inch Tall
Every decade or so, There is one band that stands out above the rest; one band alone that grabs the punk rock scene by the balls and sends it whirling in a new direction, giving way for a million other bands to jump on the wagon and get rich by imitating them. WellOne Inch Tall is not that band. Infact, they're usually not sober enough to stand at all let alone stand out. Hidden in the small suburbs just outside of Denver, Colorado, this industrious threesome has been slowly pushing their way into the local bars and venues for about the last year or so. It probably would have been much faster but singer/guitarist refused to let go of his anal obsession that stemmed from his fascination of alien rectal exams, which he personally encountered at age twelve. Mix that with bassist Ryan Piel's life long will to do less than the average American household pet and drummer Zack Rosiere's endless devotion to celibacy and 80's rock ballads and you have the powerful pop-punk trio One Inch Tall.
Their influences stem from Screeching Weasel to the Descendents/All to early Green Day. They have been building their reputation all over Denver and Fort Collins as a high-powered, energetic punk band with a loyalty to catchy hooks, happy melodies and driving rythyms.
With their first 7 inch record hitting their saddle bags November '99 and a spot on a King Bee compilation due out sometime after the millenium, they should be mounting their horses, drawing their swords, and moseying across the country before you know it. Look for them in your home town, but pleasedon't leave them alone with your pets.
