Team sorting is similar to team penning.
A team of riders is given a herd of numbered calves. They must attempt to separate each calf from
the herd and pen it, and they must do so in the correct order.
Just about any horse can be taught to sort cattle, but it helps if the horse has cow sense, an
innate talent to work cattle.
Horses must be able to turn quickly, gallop, and anticipate the calves in order to chase them
into the pen. Most common are stock type horses.
