Here are
the required steps to get S/R B5 working:
Sierpinski: To
reserve a k then go here and post
a message saying what k you’ll choose.
Riesel: Same as
above but go here instead.
Sieve the k
using NewPGen
Test the
NewPGen file using LLR
Sierpinski: Open
primes.log and see if there is a line saying something like
”xxxxxxx*5^xxxxxxx+1 is prime!”
Riesel: Same as
above except you’ll be looking for a ”xxxxxx*5^xxxxxx-1 is prime!”
Remember
the combination (or copy it) and post the Sierpinskis in this thread and the
Riesels in this thread.
If no
primes are found, then report how far you tested in the reservation thread and,
if you want to continue, you can make a new NewPGen
file with new n-ranges.

Footmaster reporting a Sierpinski Base 5 prime
That’s all
there is to using Sierpinski/Riesel Base 5. Not very hard was it?
