Prime Sierpinski Project:

What they’re doing

The PSP project has two different efforts you can participate in: Sieving and testing (LLR). What part you participate in is entirely up to you. Here is how to get started with them both:

Reserve a range:

Sieve: To reserve a range for sieving go here and post something like “xxxxxx-xxxxxx reserved by Your_Username”

Jaat reserving a small range for sieving

LLR: To reserve a range to test, go here, choose a file and post “xxxxxxx.txt reserved by Your_Username”

Sieve or test it:

Depending on whether you are sieving or testing you’ll now need to do one of the following with your range:

Sieve: Sieve it with proth_sieve

LLR: Test it with LLR or LLRNET

Report in:

Sieve: When you are finished sieving your range then open the file fact.txt and email or PM all the contents of it to ltd.

Then post a message here saying “xxxxx-xxxxx range completed by Your_Username” (where xxxxx is your range).

LLR: When you are finished with your reserved tests you need to open the file lresults.txt. Email or PM all the contents of the file to ltd.

Then go here and post a message like ”xxxxxxx.txt completed by Your_Username” (where xxxxxxx is the name of the NewPGen-file you used).

Then just repeat the whole process.

If you want to track your progress, there are some basic stats available.
