  I.  Catalog Description and Credit Hours of Course:

 

              This course will enhance the students’ ability to apply concepts of communications including reading, writing, listening, and speaking.  The student further develops the ability to communicate effectively with others individually and collectively.  Credit Hours – 4

 

 II.  Prerequisites :  None

 

III.  Purposes and Objective of the Course:

 

              At the end of the course, the student will be able to

 

              recognize how perceptions and language use affect communication.

              read and discuss stories with an intelligent perspective.

              design company logo, letterhead, envelop, memo pad, and flyer

              write a business report

              prepare and deliver an oral presentation

              understand how human needs affect communication

              work in groups

              Days 1 – 10 - Reading for Understanding and Communication Purposes

              Days 11 – 20 -Designing for Communications

              Days 21- 33  - Report Writing for Communications

              Days 34 – 44- Oral Presentations
