David Kellam
I was born in Washington DC a little over 50 years ago. I have three younger brothers and one older sister. My parents moved back to NC when I was about 2. I have lived in NC for most of my life but have traveled most of the US and been to six countries overseas. I lived in Colo. Springs, Co. for about a year and Orangeburg SC for 12. But I can't leave NC for long.
I graduated with the last graduating class from New Hope High School in 1969.
I have worked the tobacco fields, picked cotton, curb hop, construction work, mechanic, beer warehouse manager, waste treatment, manager of a Minnie Pearl Fried Chicken, service rep. on standby fuel systems, and detention officer.
Two of my favorite saying are "BEEN THERE -- DONE THAT" and "ONLY THING IMPOSSIBLE IS TO STRADLE A MUD PUDDLE WITH A ONE WHEEL WHEELBORROW".
That last quote came from a Mr. Harry Cannady, A teacher I had at Southern Wayne High School. He put me on the path that I follow to this day -- you can do anything you want, go anywhere you want and be anything you want. As long as it does't infringe on the rights of others.

I enjoy just floating down a river or creek in a boat, fishing without bait (if you use bait you have to stop and take the the fish off), metal detecting for civil war relics, riding my 1980 Honda CB 750 Custom, traveling to out of the way places, camping, the smell of gun powder and just sitting at Pizza Inn drinking coffee.
