PLEASE BE PATIENT Even though I have optimized the photo, it will still take a minute or two to download. I have sized them down as much as possible and still kept them as clear as possible
I don't remember him but this is my Great-Grandfather Robert E. Hardison with his second wife Lula and the partially clad, muscle-bound kid in the middle is --- you guessed it --- me. Robert Everett Hardison was born Feb. 28, 1873 and died Mar 16, 1951. He is buried in Deaver Cem. between Deep Run and Kinston, Lenoir County, NC Below-- earlier picture of Robert Hardison
Robert Lee Kellam, His wife Bessie Hagan Kellam and two oldest children. Robert, my Grandfather, son of Ramalius Franklin Kellam and Martha Jane Shaw, was born Nov. 1882 and died July 16, 1925 in Reemis Creek near Weaverville, Bumcombe Co., NC. He is buried at Greenville Presbyteria Church Cem. at Shoals Junction, SC. Bessie, daughter of William Edward Hagan and Mattie Crawford Hagan, was born Jan. 22, 1890 in Abbeville Co., SC and died May 1, 1950 in Washington DC and buried in The Fort Lincoln Cem. in Bladensburgh, MD. I made a trip to Weaversville a couple of years ago, walked around, talked to a few people, asked a few questons, and ended up talking to an older gentleman (don't do as I did and not write down the names). I asked him if he remembered a Robert Kellam that lived there a few years ago. He pulled his hat off, sat down in a chair and said yes, He thinks of him often. He told me Robert was helping him dig a well. When Robert was climbing up out of the well, he was over come by gas and fell back down in the well and broke his neck.
