THE 7TH MILLENNIUM

Defending the WORD OF GOD
in the WORLD OF GOD

Posting the MESSAGE OF CHRIST
In a Post-Christian Society
There is an ancient theory that Christ would return near this time in history.  Biblically it was about two thousand years from creation to the call of Abraham.  Another two thousand years passed from the call of Abraham to the coming of Messiah, Christ.  Two thousand years from that time, now, would be a total of six thousand.  With the Millennial Kingdom of 1000 years as the time of rest for the earth, the theory goes that the return of Christ is near.  Sound good?  Sound Biblical?  At first glance it certainly does.  But, we need to read what it is that we read in the pages of Scripture rather than what we might think we see "between the lines."  Jesus, when speaking of His return, said, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only (Matthew 24:36)."  Man's conjecture on this subject has been repeatedly wrong - in answer to the prophecy given by Jesus in this verse.  Remember, what seems so might not be so unless God says it is so!  This theory is simply conjecture; no one knows the time of His return.  But, it could be at any moment! May it be soon!  MARANATHA!

THE OL' HOBO'S FAITH

I never has to worry
'Bout gettin' where I's goin'
'Cus, when time come,
That's where I'll be.
Might not be the one I'm knowin'
But's the one God had fo' me.
Yeah, I don't worry 'bout no 'pointment
'Cepting the one each day,
Kinda early like,
In His Word,
With the One, set me free.
Ya see, He kept His 'pointment
Up top that hill o' Calvary.
Now, I don't worry 'bout no 'pointment
If'en I'm with Him, then
I'm the place I oughta be.
For nigh three score and ten
I jus' rushed 'bout.
Don't know why.
Jus' rushed hither and yon,
And there 'bouts.
Don't know why.
That 'ens still a puzzle.
'Cuz the Savior just
A waitin' fo' me to light.
Yeah; I wasted a goodly bit o' en'gy.
Quite a bit o' my time.
My life jus' spent
Out lookin' fo' some 'tentment.
With Jesus jus' a sittin',
Sayin', "I got that fo' thee."
Now, I still jus' might wander.
I might jus' pick up 'n roam.
But I got no worry
'Bout no 'pointment.
When it time, Jesus'll say,
"Come on home."
An' I'll be traveling'.
Ain't no worry.
To the only place
I ever needs call "home."
