4/17/03 - hi... we are playing the heartfelt fest coming up on may 10th at somewhere else tavern in greensboro. check the shows page for all the details. we are playing with a lot of rad bands, and special thanks to verus for helping us get a spot on the show. hope everyone can make it out for some wonderful rock 'n' roll tunes. we will also hopefully have a show at tremont coming up. so check back for details. by the way, jake got molested by a rabid hippo the other day, so if you see him, please offer your condolences and keep his fragile feelings in mind. he's had a rough few weeks... with the hippo tragedy and his scrotum being impaled by jason's drumstick at a chaotic, tension-filled practice we had yesterday. get well jake, we love you.

05/23/02 - hello you tabby cats. well we'd like to give a HUGE thank you to all the people that came out to tremont music hall last night and supported us. and an extra special thank you to the people who went insane in the pit. we managed to get through some technical difficulities at the beginning, that ended up taking 15 minutes off of our set time. but we have more shows to come, where hopefully we will be able to get everything working right. also we put up the lyrics to the songs on the demo, so check out the lyrics page for that. hopefully it will help everybody out who can't understand the words on the demo since the vocal quality resembles my dog's disgruntled penis. keep checking back here for more shows coming up and make sure if you see any members of the band and you want to be notified about shows this summer that you give one of us your email address. we'll be letting people know about summer shows, as well as posting them on this site.

05/17/02 - hey everyone. hope everyone is doing well. we'd like to thank everyone who came and supported us at the powder puff game, we had a great time... hopefully all you did too. also thanks to marcus munse and all the other guys who put together and organized the powder puff game... you guys did a great job, and thanks a ton for letting us play there. now, hopefully you all know that we're playing at tremont music hall on wednesday, may 22... which is next week. and hopefully ALL of you are coming. and hopefully ALL of you will go fucking insane there. we're playing with 2 other bands: 3/4 dead and the queen city destroyers... and we just found out today that we're going to be playing first. doors open at 7pm. and if you're sure that you're going to go (and i know all you of are) then see either will, jason, gordon, or myself and we'll give you a ticket... but if you don't get a ticket, then you can still pay $3 at the door to get in. that's it for now... i'll see all of you at tremont on wednesday, may 22... next week. bye bye for now.

05/08/02 - well hello. this terrible page is slowly but surely coming along... it will get better (or worse?) with time, so be patient. we're gonna start an e-mail list sometime also, so we can keep in touch with everybody over the summer about shows, releases, etc. but don't rely on the e-mail list... come to this page ALL the time for news, etc. well, this friday we're playing at halftime at the north meck powder puff football game. so come and watch the girls play football... and hopefully you'll check us out too. we'll be playing during halftime and i'm pretty sure we'll continue playing after the game. we'll play about 3 songs during halftime. on wednesday, may 22 we're playing 'new faces night' at tremont music hall with a band called 3/4 dead and another local band who hasn't been announced yet. we'll be handing out tix for that show soon... and the more people we bring in to see us, the better the chance we have of playing another show there, so make sure a SHITLOAD of people come to see us! also, tell everybody about this page, and give out the address... it's simple enough: surf.to/oldfashionedhamburgers. well, that's about all for now. keep checking back for other useless crap. i love you all. bye bye.

04/30/02 - wow. we actually have a webpage... if you can call this a webpage. anywho... we've started to record our album in gordon's very own studio... how rad is that? we started recording the drum tracks on sunday, so we'll be done in who knows how long... hopefully not too long. thanks to all of you who bought our 5 song demo entitled "demo"... you guys rule. the money we raised from selling the demo is going to our upcoming album, which we haven't really decided on a title for yet. and the album is going to have much better sound quality than the demo, so don't worry. oh yeah... another cool thing about our upcoming album... louis armstrong is going to be featured on it. it's really cool being able to have a very talented and professional musician on our album and eveything... but louis is kind of a dick. he keeps on saying that our band sucks and that he wants us all to go to hell and everything... kind of mean if you ask me, but what're you gonna do, ya know? well that's it for now. pretty good for the first day of the page, eh? hell yeah bitch. shut up. for the record... jake is the most talented person in the band.
