Cazzee the Congo African Grey Parrot

Cazzee

Hi, my name is Cazzee. I'm a Congo African Grey Parrot and was hatched on September 26, 2000 in Stanwood Washington. I will be 2 years old this year, but if you ask mom, I've been a 2 year old since birth and will always act like a 2 year old! *LOL* Well that's a bird fact for a Congo.
.

My mom Debbie, and dad Michael, got me when I was only 12 weeks old and I still had to be handfed with a syringe and formula until I learned to eat on my own. Mom was up all during the night and day to hand feed me, but trust me, when I got hungry I let her know real quick! She made my formula fresh each time and added strained baby veggi's and fruit to it and heated it to a nice 110 perfect degrees so no bacteria would grow in my little crop(tummy) and make me sick.

Here I am in my cage, cool huh?

I have lots of toys to chew and play with. I really like to try and tear up leather, but it seems to get the best of me, all but the knots that mom and dad tie in it, I can untie them as quick as they put them in, Just put in a piece of wood and see what happens! I make toothpicks out of it real quick like! I also talk very well, a Congo African Grey is known to be one of the best talkers in the bird world. I can say over 100 words and phrases now!! I watch The Animal Planet and Discovery on TV to keep me entertained during the day when everyone is working, I learn words from TV and listening to everyone talk in the house. I also whistle the tune to Andy Griffith and the theme from Star Wars and Star Trek.

Ready...set.......

GO!!!!!!!

Here I am escaping from my cage, not really but mom and dad let me out to play up top when I'm good. I love to play on top of my cage on my gym. Once in awhile I get brave and try to fly, of course I'm full flighted cause if you trim my flight feathers and I try to fly off top of something I can crash to the floor and rupture my breast and could die! But mom only trimmed my flight feathers once and I never really learned to fly like I should, but that's the way you want a pet bird to be. Able to "sort of fly", but not enough to get into trouble!!

Well I made it too the top...what to do...hmmmmmmm

OOPS....Phew, that was close, another step backwards and it would have been a ruckus!!
Mom would have got all excited and back in the cage I would go!
