| We celebrated our sixtieth (60th) year in 1973. |
| The Missouri Grand Chapter celebrated its One Hundredth year in 1974! |
| In 1975 the Worthy Matron requested that new robes be purchased for the Jobies. |
| Our Worthy Matron broke her leg early in her year - 1976 - but was able to return to her duties on Deputy Night. |
| 1977 saw Sister Martha Ramsey appointed at District Deputy Grand Matron for the 57th District. We had over four hundred (400) members on our Roster. |
| In 1978 tragedy struck when we lost our Worthy Patron, Brother Willie B. Thomason. Sister Pauline Harbison, our Worthy Matron, with the help of Brother George Ashton (our new Worthy Patron) picked up the pieces and gave us a fine year of service. This was also the year that all of the Grand Chapter By-Laws were being changed and had to be read in Chapter. Sister Polly Mueller was recognized as a fifty (50) year member. |
| We had the honor of greeting twenty-seven (27) visiting Distinguished members from Wisconsin in 1979. Our Worthy Matron read �When You Wish Upon a Star� to welcome them. The evening was beautiful and the officers did their work well. Sister Martha Ramsey was appointed Grand Representative of British Columbia. |
| Also in 1979 the Worthy Grand Matron wanted all members to re-assume the Obligation. Our Worthy Matron explained that due to many of our members being older and unable to come to Chapter and / or lived out of town it would not be possible for us to do that. The Worthy Grand Matron changed the order for us. |
| 1980 was the year of the BBQ. We had to change our location many times, up and down Manchester Road looking for a place to set up. Sister Clara Ashton was appointed Grand Chaplain and Sister Polly Sleeper was appointed Grand Representative of the District of Columbia. |
| Sister Helen Nitchman made new curtains for the lounge in1981. A large number of brothers were attending Chapter on Brothers Night. |
