| An �Apple Knocking Trip� was taken to Eckerts in 1982. Sister Frances Stephens was appointed District Deputy Grand Matron and Sister Jeannette Corrigan was appointed Grand Representative of Oklahoma. |
| 1983 was the year of the Big Bluebird, and he popped up many times during the year. Sister Polly Sleeper was appointed District Deputy Grand Matron. Sister Burchie Davis and Brothers Bill Corrigan and George Aston were honored by the Worthy Matron for their service to the Chapter. We also had BBQs during this year. |
| Our 1984 Worthy Matron spent the summer creating beautiful Christmas ornaments for the members and on that special night, due to a blast from Old Man Winter, many of the faithful were unable to attend Chapter. Sister Polly Sleeper was appointed Grand Marshal. Brother Jack Eiseman received his fifty (50) year pin. |
| Indians were everywhere in 1985 as Louise Meffert, WGM had chosen the Tepee as her symbol. Locally, even after learning they were race car drivers in their younger days, we elected our Associates to the East to serve as Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron. Sister Gladys Yandell was appointed as Grand Secretary and Sister Martha Ramsey as Grand Organist. |
| One member was honored each meeting by the Worthy Matron during 1986. Sister Vi Wanner was appointed Grand Representative of Vermont and Sister Gladys Yandell was elected Grand Secretary. |
| Sister Clara Ashton and Brother Bill Corrigan were serving in the East in 1987. Brother Bill spent a lot of time on the telephone trying to get more of our members to attend meetings. |
| Sister Jeannette Corrigan was appointed District Deputy Grand Matron in 1988 and we were busy planning our Diamond Anniversary. The year came to a close as the needle and thread were placed in the sewing basket and the quilts were put away. Shirley and Dual Slover served as our Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron. |
| The Fairy Lamp was the symbol for 1989. Sister Barbara Stroup and Brother Bud Kuester were our leaders. |
| 1990 was the year of the carousel and we had a five foot tall carousel with beautifully painted horses going around and around with Sister Mary Taylor and Brother Bill guiding our Chapter. A kitchen band was organized and we serenaded our Masonic Brothers with our repertoire. |
| Sister Nancy Rowe and Brother Steve Douglas were the operators of the Old Grist Mill in 1991. A new Eastern Star Flag was presented to Kirkwood Chapter by Brother Ray Martin in memory of Sister Zella. |
