Firemans Prayer

When I am called to do duty, God wherever flames may rage
Give me strength to save some life whatever be its age.
Help me embrace a little child before its too late
Or save an older person from the horror of that fate
Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout
And quickly and effectively to put the fire out.
I want fill my calling and to give the best in me,
To guard my every neighbour and protect his property.
And if according to your will, I am to loss my life
Please bless with your protecting hand
My children and my spouse.

Welfare Association Prayer

Dear God, as we assemble in the name of the fire and
Rescue Services Association grant us heavenly Father,
the will to do the common good;
help us to deliberate with a oneness of purpose.

We pray for all members of the Fire Services and their families;
We pray for fellow Fire Officers world wide and their families;
Grant us oh God, a co-operative and understanding community.

We ask you heavenly Father to guide us, grant us a sense of direction.
Make a way where there is no way;
These mercies we ask in the name of your son Jesus Christ.

Amen
