Star of "Free
Willy" Turns Up In Norway
NORWAY--The star of "Free Willy,"
Keiko the killer whale, has turned up in western Norway, six weeks
after leaving his pen in Iceland. That's where researchers had been
trying to teach Keiko how to survive on his own.
Earlier this summer, Keiko was released with a pod of other killer
whales, but he spilt from the group. Keiko has spent most of his
life in captivity. Fame on the big screen won him freedom thanks to
his fans, but it seems Keiko really likes humans.
One researcher hopes that Keiko will be allowed to stay in a
protected environment, if he proves he can't survive on his own.
