PICTURE
FRAME The job was a wedding video, and the picture frame was B/W stock material from another wedding video. With some fancy lassoing-and-layering, an airbrush in Overlay mode, and lots of color balancing, the monochrome turned to a soft-toned, slightly muted color photograph. In the final video, the pictures in the silver frame were slowly changing. |

COURTSHIP
SCRATCH The same wedding video made use of old pictures -- some damaged -- of the couple from the mid-20th century. This particularly conspicious scratch over the woman's face had to be fixed. It was removed with a layered mirror image of the other side of the woman's face, followed by some mild airbrushing to clean up film and print dirt. |

SCANNER
SCRATCH Whether it was a scanning error or a bad disk in transit, the corruption had to be fixed. Fifteen minutes of work with feathered layers and the rubber stamp tool made the scratch nearly invisible, with just a slightly mutated hand and waist giving away the correction. A final Despeckle and some extra contrast fixed the faded scan job. |
