This Months Activities

NEW!!! Listening to podcasts for pronunciation practice.

There are five choices now. Do you learn best by reading and looking at photos, by listening and repeating language or by watching a video?

The free lesson is about useful words about culture in New Zealand in October and it helps to talk to someone or use a dictionary.

If you like writing, you can win a free book. This month you only need to write the name of a blossom. Look carefully at the photo quiz to help you.

Listening and looking: This Months Video Quiz

This link (above) is for photo and reading practice. It is about New Zealand culture in September.

This link (above) is to listen to New Zealanders talk. I am adding new videos all the time.

This link (above) is the competition page. It changes every month but the prize is always the same! An ESOL book of lessons about New Zealand for every month of the year.

Here is the link to my podcasts. http://yvonnz.podOmatic.com/rss2.xml

My ESOL class loves jazz chants, music and poetry. There is also some dictation for listening practice. You can find the words for the dictations in Archives but you have to buy or get Carolyn Graham's book out of a library to see the words for some of the jazz chants. I am sorry there is a delay with the Powerpoints for bushwalks 1 and 2 because they are too big (8 and 15MB). I hope to add them soon.

This link (above) has a vocabulary free lesson about this month's culture in New Zealand. There are also some other free lessons about culture from past months.
