Ed) So what's it like being a bodyboarder in such an isolated area? 
Barry) It's both good and bad. The good thing is that I score heaps of sick pits without having to worry about crowds but it does however get a bit lonely surfing by myself sometimes? 

Ed) After surfing with you just once I reckon that you would easily do well in NZ bodyboard comps, why don't you enter any?  
Barry) Nah, I'm not any good, I just do the common moves that everyone does in the mags, anyway I didn't even know that their were many comps in NZ the only comps I ever hear about are the Scholastics and the Nationals that came up here a couple of years ago. 

Ed) Backflip and Air Reverses aren't common moves those are advanced moves, if I could surf as good as you I would be stoked. 
Barry) Nah, they are not hard moves it's just that you are a kook. 

Ed) You should have a go I some comps, you'd do well. 
Barry) Nah, it's to far to travel and I'm happy enough surfing the waves here. 

Ed) Is there any sick spots around here that you could tell me about? 
Barry) There's heaps of sick spots around here but I'm not telling anyone about them.
