Alabama Ave. and Crescent St.

The portion of the Jamaica El that runs along Fulton St., with stations at Alabama Ave., Van Siclen Ave., Cleveland St., Norwood Ave. and Crescent St. was never third-tracked and not modified under Dual Contracts. These stations were left undisturbed, in their original state, going back to 1885 and 1893. In the 1980's, these stations received major renovation. The photos below were taken in 1975 of the Crescent St. station, and in 1977 of the Alabama Ave. station. All photos by Mark M. Oring.
